The purpose of International Women's Day is to celebrate women's achievements and increase visibility, while calling out inequality. Today, Wednesday March 8th, is the official day, but why not work toward this every day? in sports? in business? and in life? As members of the Manchester, Connecticut Rotary Club, Richard Borden and Liane Lombardi, partners/owners of Borden-Lombardi Realty, both strongly believe this. While all should be equal, for high school and college athletics, it's not an equal opportunity to make young women compete against biological males for scholarships or recognition, each group should have their own competitions.
