CT Housing Prices Still Rising!

by Borden-Lombardi Realty 02/26/2025

According to GOBankingRates research of “20 Housing Markets Where Homes will Skyrocket in Value Before the End of 2025”, which started with the 200 largest US Metropolitan Statistical Areas (MSAs), all 4 of CT’s MSAs were noted in the ranking of increases which follow:

  • 4th highest was the Hartford/East Hartford/Middletown area, where ‘23-‘24 home values increased 9.4% or $31.5K,
  • 6th highest was the New Haven/Milford area, where ‘23-‘24 home values increased 8.8% or $30.3K,
  • 9th highest was the Bridgeport/Stratford/Norwalk area, where ‘23-‘24 home values increased 8.3% or $47.8K,
  • 10th highest was the Norwich/New London area, where ‘23-‘24 home values increased 8.2% or $29.5K, and
  • FYI, the highest ‘23-‘24 increase was Rockford, IL (10.9% increase), followed by Syracuse, NY (10.8% increase).

This should mean 2 things to Connecticut Sellers & Buyers:

  1. If you intend to sell your CT home, now is a great time, and
  2. If you intend to buy a home in CT, you might want to buy before the price increases.
